Ever heard of Guerilla Gardening?
Well, it’s about time you did. Meet Ron Finley from South Central Los Angeles, CA.
He plants gardens in vacant lots, sidewalk strips and anyplace he can find. He’s empowering people, especially kids, to take charge of what they eat. He uses gardening to educate and transform communities from the soil up.
Here’s a TED Talk by Ron which explains his whole approach.
My favorite lines are:
“Growing your own food is like printing your own money.”
“Gardening is my graffiti.”

Let me know what you think?
Is there any place you can be a guerrilla gardener? Does this give you any ideas about what you can do in your community?
Stay on the grow,
